Ali Zafar-Meesha Shafi #MeToo Row: Witness Supports Actor; Claims Not Seeing any Act of Sexual Harassment

In the wake of #MeToo movement, Pakistani singer Meesha Shafi has accused Kill Dil actor and singer Ali Zafar of sexually harassing her during one of the jamming sessions. Zafar-Meesha controversy erupted during Lux Style Awards in 2018 when Shafi accused Zafar on Twitter of molesting her physically on ‘more than one occasion’. Post which Meesha had filed a sexual harassment case against Zafar, which was then dismissed by the court. Zafar had then taken to social media to announce the court’s decision.
Now here’s the latest development in Ali Zafar’s Me Too case. According to an eye witness, who was present at the jamming session, claimed that he didn’t see any act of sexual harassment towards Shafi. Yes, Ali has already achieved a victory of some sort. According to the latest report in Daily Times, Meesha's witness and her manager, Syed Farhan Ali, denied witnessing any sexual harassment incident from Zafar's side during the jamming session. While recording his statement for a defamation suit filed by Zafar against Meesha, Sayed said, “I was present in the jamming session held in the house of the plaintiff, Ali Zafar. Shafi's former manager also revealed that she had even created a ruckus when Zafar replaced Atif Aslam as one of the co-judges with Fawad Khan and Meesha. Sayed said, “Prior to the shooting of second season show, the management told us that Ali Zafar stood replaced for Atif Aslam. Meesha’s former manager further stated that Meesha not only blackmailed Ali but also the multinational beverage company to extort more money from them and drop Ali Zafar from the recording. However, Ali refused to be threatened or blackmailed so she went ahead with the false allegation.
